In 2024, Chris Masciantonio received the Hard Rock Miners award in recognition of his outstanding dedication and contributions to Minnesota’s taconite industry. Masciantonio worked for U. S. Steel from 1989 to 2023 and was a founding member of the Iron Ore Alliance in 2013. His decades of hard work and industry collaboration have created a solid foundation for iron mining advocacy for years to come.
